Forest Bathing at home: how to promote well-being by reconnecting with nature

Step 1

Recreate the atmosphere of Forest Bathing

Before dedicating ourselves to the actual SPA treatment, let’s recreate the atmosphere of the forests of the Asiago Plateau in the room dedicated to our moment of relaxation and regeneration. Let’s dim the lights and switch off the phone.

These two simple gestures will immerse us in a pleasant state of total relaxation, easing tensions and subsequently also helping us to rest at night.

Step 2

Promote relaxation and eliminate toxins with the ancient ritual of Body Brushing

Body brushing is a pleasant and ancient natural practice with surprising effectiveness.  It simply helps to take care of your body to improve its vitality and health.

The effectiveness of brushing depends on the length of the bristles, which must be long enough to transform a simple friction into a gesture capable of promoting immediate well-being. Brushing can become a daily habit lasting just a few minutes, practised as a self-treatment and can take 30-40 minutes, over the entire body, with relaxing, decontracting, draining or stimulating effects depending on how it is performed. It has its origins in the peasant world and has been revived in more recent times by doctors and massage therapists who have confirmed its potential.

The HöbePergh Copper Brush is manufactured with special care using beech wood, pure buffer bristles and bronze wires. The gliding of the tampon bristles and bronze wires of the HöbePergh brush over the skin promotes oxygenation of the skin, relieving swelling, stimulating microcirculation, and reducing fluid retention and rheumatic pain. With a slow rhythm and holding the brush at a slight angle, we gently brush the lower limbs and arms with movements from the bottom upwards, and the torso and buttocks with movements from the inside out.

Immerse yourself in a relaxing forest-scented bath

To enjoy a self-respecting Forest Bathing, scents are indispensable as they act directly on our mind and promote relaxation.

Wood Moss Body Wash is an aromatic shower bath with the distinctive balsamic scent of the woods of the Asiago plateau, green and aquatic notes of “forest in the morning” with a base of musks and resinous barks: cedar wood, vetiver and Scots pine skilfully blended with a purifying blend of plant extracts of peppermint, currant and raspberry that cleanse the skin and give it a lively refreshing aroma. If we have a bathtub, we can dilute a little Wood Moss Body Wash directly in the hot water and enjoy the aromas released by the steam.

If we prefer the shower, we can pour a small amount of Wood Moss Body Wash  on the palms of our hands and apply it directly on the body for an aromatic but extremely gentle cleansing.

Step 4

Treat yourself to a regenerating massage

The lymph drainage massage is a worthy conclusion to the HöbePergh  SPA treatments, the benefits of which are manifold on both body and mind. Besides strongly stimulating the microcirculation and lymphatic circulation, it has very rewarding results on skin firmness and muscle relaxation. The lymphatic drainage massage requires precise preparation and skills on the part of the person performing it. However, we can start from the professional treatment to draw some useful hints for an easier execution to be carried out independently at home.

First, we warm a small amount of Moisturizing Daily Body Lotion in the palms of our hands and mix it with a few sprays of Fragranced Relaxing Body Oil. The warmth of your hands will release the beneficial properties of the HöbePergh herbs and hay contained in the Moisturizing Daily Body Lotion and the Fragranced Relaxing Body Oil, together with the precious blend of medicinal plants. We start by massaging the ankles to promote a detoxifying, regenerating, and draining action.  With circular movements and light pressure, we move up along the calf and let the birch and horse chestnut extracts perform their draining and vasoprotective activity. We continue with the massage along the knee and thigh, enjoying the nourishing and revitalising benefits of Shea Butter and HöbePergh Herbs and Hays. Finally, let us envelop ourselves in the fullness of sweet almond and petit grain oil for a nourished, silky and deliciously scented skin.

We end our Forest Bathing HöbePergh with a warm, relaxing herbal tea to enjoy the benefits of the treatment even longer.
